Yield response, canopy temperature and water status of a second crop of sunflowers (Helianthus annuus L.) with different irrigation regimes

In 1989 at Pozzallo, Italy, sunflowers Cerflor and Romsun HS 90 sown on 4 July following durum wheat were irrigated to replace total evapotranspiration (control) or irrigated at sowing and at the (a) 10th leaf stage and (b)/or (c) the bud stage, (d) at both stages and at early flowering, (e) at all 3 stages and late flowering, or (f) at early flowering only. The crop was irrigated to replace all evapotranspiration from a Class A pan.
