Zabrachia stackelbergi sp. n., a new species of xylophilous soldier fly from eastern Asia (Diptera, Stratiomyidae)

, : Zabrachia stackelbergi sp. n., a new species of xylophilous soldier fly from eastern Asia (Diptera, Stratiomyidae). Acta Entomologica Bohemoslovaca, 874: 304-313

Zabrachia stackelbergi sp. nov., the larvae of which live mostly under the bark of decaying coniferous trees, is described from fir and spruce in the Soviet Far East. Distinguishing characters of the xylophilous larvae of the genus are discussed, and the 4 known Palaearctic species are keyed in the larval and adult stages.
