Zimbabwe's agricultural revolution
This book on Zimbabwe's agricultural revolution has three purposes. The first is to analyse the historical development of Zimbabwe's agriculture over the past 100 years: the development of White colonial farms, 1890-1980; development of support institutions (research, credit, extension, irrigation) 1920-50; new technology and institutions, 1950-65; agricultural distress during the civil war, 1965-80; and post-independence, particularly the issue of land distribution.
