Guyostimulation-a natural method for the improvement of receptivity in lactating rabbit females
The "Guyostimulation" treatment, developed at the Guyomarc'h Research Centre in Brittany, involves the separation of lactating rabbits from their litters for 24-36 h before insemination. Of 323 at Reamur, separated from their litters for 24 h before insemination, 68.3% produced a litter vs. 54.9% of non-separated controls, and of 180 at St. Noiff, separated for 36 h, 75.5% gave birth to a litter vs. 64.4% of non-separated controls (both P<0.01).
