Selected from the progeny of a cross between USDA selection 48-13-311 and Wichita, this high yielding protandrous Carya illinoinensis variety averaged 137 nuts/kg with a high percentage of kernel, averaging 61% over a 5-year test. Total nut yields from 1989 to 1993 were 36.01 kg/tree, compared with 24.40, 17.82 and 5.48 kg/tree for Pawnee, Desirable and Stuart, respectively.
