, : (+or-)-termisine, a novel lupine alkaloid from the seeds of Lupinus termis. Journal of Natural Products 56(11): 1999-2002

The seeds of L. termis are edible, and in traditional medicine, the seeds are used to treat diabetes and eczema. A novel lupine alkaloid, (+or-)-termisine, was isolated from the EtOH extract of the crushed seeds (collected from Assiut University, Assiut, Egypt).
