1994 survey of trout production in England and Wales

, : 1994 survey of trout production in England and Wales. Trout News ( 20): 5-7

Production details for trout were collected from 322 salmonid farms in England and Wales. Table production of rainbow trout for 1994 was 7279 t from 169 farms, slightly down from the 7289 t from 156 farms in 1993. Overall rainbow production, including that for restocking or on-growing, amounted to 10 825 t, an increase of 18.3% on the previous year. A relatively large number of small sites producing less than 10 t accounted for only 4.3% of total production.
