3 beta ,16 alpha ,17-Trihydroxyphyllocladane, a diterpenoid, obtained after microbial transformation of the aqueous extract of Callicarpa macrophylla

, : 3 beta ,16 alpha ,17-Trihydroxyphyllocladane, a diterpenoid, obtained after microbial transformation of the aqueous extract of Callicarpa macrophylla. Indian Journal of Chemistry Section B, Organic including Medicinal 33(12): 1205-1206

The growth of Aspergillus niger on the aqueous extract obtained after hydrodistillation of essential oil of the leaves of C. macrophylla lead to the formation of a new product which was identified as 3 beta ,16 alpha ,17-trihydroxyphyllocladane on the basis of chemical and spectral data.
