3 beta -chlorosteroids - nutritional and toxicological effects in mice

, : 3 beta -chlorosteroids - nutritional and toxicological effects in mice. Fett Wissenschaft Technologie 97(5): 183-189

3-Chlorosteroids, e.g. 3-chlorocholest-5-ene and 3-chorostigmast-5-ene, are formed from the corresponding sterols during the industrial hydrolysis of proteins for the production of flavour enhancers. A simple method for the fractionation and quantitative estimation of 3 beta -chlorosteroids by C18 reversed-phase HPLC was developed and used for the analysis of these chlorinated steriods in protein hydrolysates.

Angular leaf spot (ALS) causes major yield losses in the common bean (<em>Phaseolus vulgaris</em> L.), an important protein source in the human diet. This study describes the saturation around a major quantitative trait locus (QTL) reg...

Venous thromboembolism is a well recognised complication of air travel, particularly on long haul flights.
