The mean mortality rate up to 3 months of age among 265 Murrah buffalo calves born between 1977 and 1987 was 76.3%. Highest mortality rates among age groups were during the 1st month after birth (36.8%), among seasons during autumn (45.6%) and among clinical conditions were caused by digestive disorders.
