A total of 10 lots of Panicum maximum seeds were analysed in 10 different laboratories in Brazil, to determine whether seed sample dividers are responsible for differences in purity analysis results. The analysis were carried out in 6 steps. In steps A and D, available dividers in each laboratory were used; in B and E, a soil divider was used; and in C and F a Boerner-type conical divider was used.
