Cultivar trials with Brussels sprouts on light soils

Cultivar trials with Brussels sprouts on light soils

Gartenbau Magazin 2(11): 45-46

Of the 11 Brussels sprouts cultivars evaluated on light soils at Zepernick, Germany, Veraline gave the highest marketable yield (348 dt/ha), with Odran and Mirna being next best (316 and 283 dt/ha, respectively). Marketable sprouts of these cultivars reached a diameter of up to 41 mm. Tardis and the breeding strains NUN 6266 and NUN 6243 showed the lowest yields, though their sprouts appeared healthy.
