When detached 1- to 5-d-old wheat leaves were treated with 10 mg kinetin/litre, protein degradation was significantly decreased, however, in the presence of high concentrations (4 g/litre) of chloromycetin, the effect of kinetin was reduced and chlorophyll degradation was increased.
