Demand for meat and fish in Spain: application of the Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS)

, : Demand for meat and fish in Spain: application of the Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS). Investigacion Agraria, Economia 10(2): 233-252

The paper analyses meat and fish demand in Spain using data from the National Expenditure Survey 1990/91. An Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) for beef, pigmeat, sheep and goat meat, poultry meat and other types of meat and fish was estimated. A set of sociodemographic variables was incorporated into the model by the translation method (household size and composition, town size, sex and percentage of family members in employment).
