Demeter 94/95 - Agricultural economy and strategies

, : Demeter 94/95 - Agricultural economy and strategies. Demeter 94/95 Economie et strategies agricoles: 216 pp.

Three current themes of the agricultural economy are explored, starting with the role of farming in a market economy. The inclusion of agriculture in recent GATT negotiations led to renewed questioning as to whether farming should be made an exception to free trade. The end result of the negotiations was not satisfactory to world agriculture, and showed the frailty of the GATT procedure.
