Dendrometry and stand measurement with laser technology

Details are given of the specifications and applications of a laser survey instrument, the Criterion Model 400 (manufacturer: Laser Technology, Englewood, CO, USA), now being tested in the USA and Germany. The instrument incorporates a laser, vertical angle sensor, compass, and an RS232 Centronics unit for transferring data to a notebook-computer.
