, : Dengue incidence in CAREC member countries, 1993. West Indian Medical Journal 43(1): 32-32

In 1993, 415 clinical cases of dengue infection were reported to the Epidemiology Division from 11 Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CAREC) member countries. Prior to the end of November 1993, dengue serological testing had been completed by the CAREC laboratory on 1582 blood specimens, 522 (33%) of which were positive. As of 30 November 1993, Suriname alone had sent 517 blood specimens to the laboratory for serological testing, 244 (47.2%) of which were positive.
