Dependence of seed quality on the abundance of the seed crop in pine and spruce
An analysis is made of seed yields and seed quality in Picea abies and Pinus sylvestris over a period of 25 years in the Archangel, Vologda and Komi regions of N. Russia. The results showed that in spruce the seed quality is very high in years of high yield, and low in years of poor yield.
