Dermatitis due to Staphylococcus xylosus in sheep

, : Dermatitis due to Staphylococcus xylosus in sheep. Point Veterinaire 26(161): 271-274

Two cases of generalized dermatitis due to S. xylosus in newborn lambs of the Blanche du Massif Central and Noire de Velay breeds are described. This is thought to be the first report of dermatitis due to S. xylosus in sheep; previous reports of this organism were in cases of mastitis.
