, : Description of Lutzomyia (Evandromyia) sipani, a new species of sand fly (Diptera: Psychodidae) from Loreto Department, Peru. Memorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz 89(2): 167-169

The male of L. sipani sp. nov. from (pig pens and chicken coops in) San Antonio, Maynas, Loreto Department, northern Peru, is described. The female is unknown. The new species is placed in the subgenus Evandromyia, series infraspinosa. L. sipani resembles L. bourrouli, L. pinottii and L. cerqueirai.
