Description of a marine free-living nematode Stephanolaimus graciosus sp. n. and erection of Setostephanolaimus gen. n. (Chromadoria: Leptolaimidae)

, : Description of a marine free-living nematode Stephanolaimus graciosus sp. n. and erection of Setostephanolaimus gen. n. (Chromadoria: Leptolaimidae). Russian Journal of Nematology 2(2): 79-82

S. graciosus sp. nov. is described from the benthos in the South Atlantic off Namibia. The new species differs from the type species, S. elegans by having shorter cervical setae, fewer tubular supplements (9) and the presence of postanal papilla. The genus Stephanolaimus is revised and all its species except for the type species and S. graciosus are separated into a new genus, Setostephanolaimus.
