, : Description of a new species of Eimeria (Apicomplexa: Eimeriidae) from Heloderma suspectum (Sauria: Helodermatidae). Texas Journal of Science. May; 452: 155-159

Eimeria becki sp. nov. is described from faecal samples collected from 3 Heloderma suspectum, housed at the Dallas Zoo, and thought to have originated in Arizona, USA. Oocysts of this new species are cylindroid, measuring between 29.6 and 33.4 micro m by between 17.6 and 19.2 micro m. The shape index (length/width) was between 1.62 and 1.82, micropyle and oocyst residuum were absent, and a single polar granule was present.
