Radar observations on vegetation (ROVE) were carried out, in 1975-81, to investigate the scattering of microwaves by crops, including barley, and soils to help interpret radar imagery. The datasets of the groundbased research are documented. The kinds of observations made, with an indication of their accuracy, and the experimental layout of the yearly programs are described.
