Design parameters of square and triangular nozzles with impact sprinklers

, : Design parameters of square and triangular nozzles with impact sprinklers. Journal of Irrigation Engineering and Rural Planning ( 28): 37-45

The effect of design on square and triangular nozzles for sprinkler systems was studied. The effect of the inside contracting angle of a square nozzle on its discharge coefficient, pattern radius and water distribution profile is insignificant when the angle changes from 20 degrees to 50 degrees. However the effect becomes significant when the angle exceeds 50 degrees. The recommended inside contracting angle for the square nozzle is 30 degrees.
