In a field trial at Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, in the 1987-89 winter seasons, groundnuts TMV 2 were given 30 or 60 kg N/ha applied all basally or split between basal and 25 d after sowing, or received no applied N. Mean pod yield was 2.88 t/ha without applied N and highest (3.40 t) with split application of 60 kg N/ha.
