In 1986-90, four crop rotations with different fodder plants were grown on SW facing slopes of Branicka Gora (Beskide mountains) divided into 3 zones (upper, middle and lower) between 530 and 570 m altitude on medium clay soil. NPK fertilizer was applied to compensate for wash-down losses or was applied uniformly for all slope zones.
