Effect of red rot inoculation in sugarcane plant crop on build up of disease in subsequent ratoon

In tests with 8 genotypes, build-up of Colletotrichum falcatum (Glomerella tucumanensis) was greater in ratoons of the susceptible Co 1148, Co 997, CoLk 7701 and CoJ 64 than in the moderately resistant CoLk 7710 or the susceptible Co 1158. CoS 767 and CoLk 8002 showed no red rot in the ratoon crop.
