Effect of relative humidity level on adult red cotton bugs Dysdercus koenigii

The weight of the newly emerged male and female adult Dysdercus koenigii was significantly reduced with decrease in relative humidity from 96 to 72%. The survival of adults was not significantly affected, but reducing RH from 96 to 72% reduced the longevity of males from 35 to 26.6 days and of females from 24.4 to 17.4 days.
