Effect of residual phosphorus on availability of nutrients by different sources and levels of phosphorus in a cropping system

Results are presented from a field experiment (Tamil Nadu, India) in which various P fertilizers were applied to a cropping sequence of Eleusine coracana-maize-Vigna mungo. Largest amounts of soil available N were observed with application of rock phosphate-single superphosphate mixture. The P fertilized plots had larger available P contents than the control.
