Effect of residual soil K on cotton yield response to foliar-applied K at five locations

Effect of residual soil K on cotton yield response to foliar-applied K at five locations

Proceedings, Beltwide Cotton Conferences, 10-14 January 1993, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA: 1313-1316

In 1992, the yield response of cotton DPL50 and DPL90 to foliar-applied KNO3 and urea was determined at 5 Alabama locations on plots where residual soil K variation exists from long-term soil fertility experiments. Foliar KNO3 or urea was applied to split plots at a rate of 4.4 lb K2O/acre and 1.3 lb N/acre 4 times, 7 to 10 d apart, beginning the 1st week after bloom initiation.
