Effect of resistance to TMV and nematodes on fruit quality in tomatoes for fresh consumption

Effect of resistance to TMV and nematodes on fruit quality in tomatoes for fresh consumption

Gartenbauwissenschaft 58(6): 271-276

The material studied included forms with and without resistance to tobacco mosaic tobamovirus (TMV) and the nematode (NT) Meloidogyne incognita: susceptible hybrid K342-391 and varieties K Jubileum and K407; TMV and NT resistant hybrids K24-12 (and its reciprocal, K12-24) and FMX154; and TMV (but not NT) resistant hybrid Monaco. K407 was superior in fruit firmness. Susceptible forms were superior to resistant ones in ascorbic acid content and colour intensity of the fruit.
