Effect of rice residues incorporated in soil on seedling emergence, growth and fodder yield of berseem (Trifolium alexandrinum L.)

In a pot experiment, the soil was incorporated with rice stubble (1.1 g/kg soil) and/or rice straw (2.6 g/kg soil) and sown with T. alexandrinum. Seedling emergence was not affected by the crop residues but FW and DW were significantly decreased by incorporation of residues.
