Effect of rootstocks and interstocks on the growth characteristics of apples

Effect of rootstocks and interstocks on the growth characteristics of apples

Acta Universitatis Agriculturae, Facultas Horticulturae 7(1/2): 39-49

The effect of interstocks on growth, crown volume, stem cross-section, pruning labour requirements, and number and weight of prunings was studied in 2 trials (A and B). In trial A, cultivars Golden Delicious (GD) and Spartan (S) were grown on M.1, M.11 and A2 rootstocks with M.9 interstocks in herbicide-treated rows with clean cultivated interrows.
