Effect of rootstocks on the performance of plum cv. Kala Amritsari

Plum (Prunus salicina) Kala Amritsari was grafted on rootstocks of Sharbati (P. persica), wild peach (P. persica), or Chulli wild apricot (P.armeniaca), Sloh (an almond x peach hybrid) or Kabul Green Gage plum (P. domestica) during 1985 and observations were made on their performance during 1987-90. Kala Amritsari grafted on plum Kabul Green Gage produced the best results in terms of tree volume, stock girth and scion girth.
