Effect of salts of fatty acids on productive performance and quality of depot fat in heavy pigs

Effect of salts of fatty acids on productive performance and quality of depot fat in heavy pigs

Rivista di Suinicoltura 35(11): 53-62

From about 64 kg liveweight for 154 days 4 groups of 18 Duroc x (Large White x Landrace) pigs, females and barrows, were given a basal diet (TA) or diets supplemented with 3% of a mixture of salts of fatty acids and monoglycerides (SFA) for the entire experimental period (TB), from 120 kg liveweight (TC) or up to 120 kg liveweight (TD). Liveweight, mean daily gain and feed conversion efficiency were not significantly different among treatments.
