Effect of season on the success of softwood grafting in sapota (cv. Kalipatti)

Softwood grafting of sapodilla Kalipatti was performed on the 15th day of each month from Jan. to Dec. 1991. The highest graft-take (63.33% scions still alive after 180 days) was obtained for grafting done in May and this treatment also resulted in the most scion shoot and leaf growth.
