Effect of seed number per berry on mineral composition of grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) berries

The relationship between seed number per berry and mineral concentration in the berry was investigated in the grape cultivars Croatina and Barbera grown in a commercial vineyard in Piacenza Province. The 2 cultivars differ in susceptibility to stalk necrosis, a calcium related disorder, with Croatina being susceptible and Barbera being resistant to the disorder.
