Effect of seed soaking in insecticide solution on the germination and on the incidence of sorghum shootfly

Sorghum M-35-1 Jowar seeds were soaked in solutions of 0.07% endosulfan, 0.04% monocrotophos and water for 4 and 8 h, before sowing in the field in Karnataka, India. Treatment with monocrotophos resulted in reduced germination, while treatment with endosulfan increased germination.
