Results are presented of lab. evaluations of seed treatments of rice with thiram, carbendazim (as Bavistin), 2-methoxyethylmercury chloride (as Agallol and Emisan), and 2-methoxyethylmercury chloride + streptocycline. 2-Methoxyethylmercury chloride (0.01%) with streptocycline (0.01%) was the most effective treatment for control of seed rot and resulted in maximum germination.
