The efficacy of seed treatment with fungicides and insecticides in the control of Macrophomina phaseolina and Ophiomyia phaseoli was assessed both under pot culture and field conditions in Tamil Nadu, India. Carbendazim, quintozene, TMTD and carbendazim + carbosulfan seed treatments were highly effective in the control of M. phaseolina.
