Effect of seedborne pathogenic fungi (Alternaria spp.) on the disease intensity and yield of crucifers

Experiments were set up to study the effect of Alternaria spp. on yield of 16 rapeseed, mustard and other cruciferous cultivars under conditions in Haryana, India. In artificially inoculated plots, foliage infection ranged from 16.9 (cv. RC 781) to 63.3% (YSPb 24), and pod infection from 8.2 (RC 781) to 36.8% (YSPb 24).
