The role of lolitrem B, peramine, ergopeptines and lolines in the feeding behaviour of adults of Heteronychus arator was investigated using 5 isolates of Acremonium associated with Lolium perenne. All 5 ryegrass/Acremonium associations were significantly less damaged than endophyte-free controls.
