20 fractionated and non-fractionated ejaculates from 7 stallions were diluted with a glucose-EDTA, skim milk or skim milk-glucose diluent. After storage at 4 degrees C for 72 h, the average sperm motility was 19.0, 24.5 and 37.3% respectively for semen diluted with the 3 diluents, and it was 23.1 and 30.6% respectively for semen with and without seminal plasma (both P<0.05).
