Data on soil bacteria, soil fungi and soil respiration are presented from analyses of 3 forest soil samples (mucky soil, rusty soil and marly sandy loam) from a site in Tuchola Forest District, Poland, planted with seedlings of Pinus sylvestris in April 1987. Plots were watered monthly with acidified (HNO3 + H2SO4) water, or with deep well water from April to November 1987-88.
