Effect of simulated rainfall, insecticide formulation, and insecticide application method on the interaction between nicosulfuron and terbufos in corn (Zea mays)

Field studies were conducted at Urbana and Brownstone, Illinois, on Drummer silty clay loam and Cisne silt loam, resp., during 1991 to determine the effect of insecticide formulation and application method on the severity of the interaction between terbufos and nicosulfuron. Terbufos, applied to the soil at planting, interacted with nicosulfuron, applied postemergence, to injure corn Pioneer 3180 and reduce grain yield. Terbufos was formulated as Counter 15G (15G) and Counter 20CR (20CR).
