Effect of simultaneous ingestion of carbohydrate and protein on plasma glucose, insulin and amino acids concentration

Effect of simultaneous ingestion of carbohydrate and protein on plasma glucose, insulin and amino acids concentration

Nippon Eiyo Shokuryo Gakkaishi = Journal of the Japanese Society of Nutrition and Food Science 47(3): 179-184

A study was conducted to examine the effects of simultaneous ingestion of protein and carbohydrate on plasma levels of glucose, insulin and free amino acids in 11 healthy women. Levels of plasma glucose, insulin and free amino acids were assayed at 30 and 150 min after ingestion of rice, eggs and rice + eggs, respectively.
