Effect of six selected plant products and oil cakes on the sclerotial production and germination of Rhizoctonia solani

The effects of extracts of Caesalpinia pulcherrima, Eucalyptus globulus, sesame oil cake, Calophyllum inophyllum oil cake, Prosopis juliflora and Thevetia peruviana (at 2.5, 5 and 10%) on sclerotial production and germination of R. solani were evaluated and compared with Bavistin 50 WP in the lab. At 0.25% carbendazim completely inhibited sclerotial production. Cold water extracts of C. inophyllum cake, P. juliflora and T. peruviana completely inhibited production of sclerotia at 10%.
