An experiment was conducted during the summer and winter of 1987-1988 to study the effect of two chemical amendments (gypsum and pyrite) together with organic materials (FYM and pressmud) and zinc sulfate on soil properties and yield of Saket-4 rice and their residual effect on soil properties and yield of 'Vijai' barley.
