The application of 100 g/msuperscript 3 polyvinylalcohol (PVA) to the soil prior to transplanting Origanum majorana seedlings resulted in increased plant height and FW. Leaf number increased to 1029 compared with 567 in the control, and shoot number increased to 384 compared with 120 in the control. The increase in plant growth was attributed to the formation of larger soil aggregates.
