Effect of soil properties on zinc adsorption in some soil series of Marathwada region

Effect of soil properties on zinc adsorption in some soil series of Marathwada region

Indian Journal of Agricultural Chemistry 26(2/3): 133-139

The effect of soil texture and organic matter contents on the adsorption of zinc was studied in 6 soil series in the Marathwada region of India. Sandy soils and soils low in organic matter had low Zn adsorption capacities and therefore Zn would be readily available to plants for uptake but would also rapidly be lost through leaching.
